On Tuesday July 3, 2012 at approximately 11:08 pm., units from the Johnson City Fire Department were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 1009 Buffalo Street.
The call was received from officers of the Johnson City Police Department. Police reported the building was on fire with confirmed occupants inside.
The first fire department unit arrived within 3 minutes of the call. At this time police had removed at least 2 subjects from the building. The building, which contained seven apartment units was searched by members of the JCFD and the fire was extinguished.
No injuries were reported and all occupants were accounted for.
One apartment received extensive damage.
The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist residents with alternate lodging arrangements
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Johnson City Fire Marshal’s Office. No other details are available at the time of this release.
