Fatal fire 4200 Englewood Bl

The Johnson City Fire Department (JCFD) responded to a residential fire at 4200 Englewood BL on 2 Aug 13. There was a confirmed fatality involved in the incident. The JCFD received the alarm at 00:50:47. The first arriving unit reported fire in the living room area. The fire extended into the attic and to the kitchen. Firefighters reported heavy fire in the kitchen/living room area. Extensive smoke and fire damage occurred to the residential structure. Searches were conducted for the victim. The victim was discovered near the seat of the fire in the kitchen area. The JCFD responded to the scene with three Engine Companies, two Ladder Companies, a Rehab unit, a command vehicle, and an Air Supply Truck. The JCFD Fire Marshal Division responded to investigate with support from the Johnson City Police Department. Fire Marshals are still on scene investigating the cause of the fire. The name of the victim is being withheld for release pending notification of the immediate family. Fire Suppression crews remained on scene until 3:43:32.
