The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a house fire at 702 Edgewood Drive on the morning of 28 November 12. The dispatch time was 05:32:38. The first unit arrived at 05:35:45 and saw smoke coming from the attic eves. Upon entry, the home was filled with smoke. The fire was located in the hallway to the bedroom area and was caused by an overturned kerosene heater. The fire extended into the attic. The Fire Department responded with three engines (pumpers), two ladder companies, and a command vehicle. The Washington County/Johnson City EMS Agency responded and transported three residents to the hospital. The residents received smoke inhalation and one received burns in addition to the smoke inhalation. It is not known as to the extent of the civilian injuries. The home received smoke damage throughout the structure. The last unit on scene returned at 06:48:40. Please contact Captain Weaver at 975-2841 for further information.
