Structure Fire

On Saturday, August 27, 2011 at approximately 4:23 am, The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Johnson City Municipal Airport.

911 received calls of several explosions with heavy fire.

The first unit arrived (5) five minutes after being dispatched and found one hanger fully involved.

The building and it’s contents were a total loss, however five other structures were saved.

The response included 3 engines, 1 ladder and one command vehicle for a total of 11 firefighters. No injuries were reported.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s division of the Johnson City Fire Department
