Apartment fire at 1112 King Springs Rd

The Johnson City FD responded to an apartment fire at 1112 King Springs Rd Apt 20 at 22:56:12 on 10 Feb 14. 911 advised units while responding that this was a confirmed fire with flames and smoke showing. This was confirmed by the first arriving Engine company at 22:58:54. Command called for a second alarm due to the fire being in an apartment complex. The Department responded initially with four Engine Companies, two Ladder Companies, and a command vehicle. The second alarm assignment of an air truck, a Ladder Company, and an Engine Company was cancelled by command after fire crews gained a very rapid control time of the fire. The fire was contained to the room of origin. A civilian injury occured from over exertion in fighting the fire with a fire extinguisher prior to the arrival of the FD and was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. The FD was assisted by the Johnson City Police Department, the Johnson City Power Board, and Washington County/Johnson City EMS. After an investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office, the cause and origin of the fire was undetermined at the time of this release. Ongoing investigative efforts continue. Residential Structure Fire 411 E Chestnut St Johnson City TN

The Johnson City FD responded to a house fire on 411 E Chestnut St. The Department sent four engine companies, two ladder companies, a command vehicle, and a air support unit to the scene. Washington County EMS responded for assitance. There were no civilian or departmental injuries. Dispatch time was 04:59:02 with the first arriving unit taking command at 05:03:55. The fire was contained to the structure of origin. The residence received smoke damage throughout the structure and received about fifty percent fire damage. The cause of the fire was combustibles too close to a wall mounted bathroom heater. The fire started in the bathroom at the wall heater.

705 Wilson Ave

The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a report of house fire at 705 Wilson Ave.



The call was received at 03:25 am and the first engine arrived within 4 minutes. Upon arrival, heavy black smoke was showing from the front of the house.



The fire was found in a bathroom, near a wall heater. The exact cause is undetermined at this time and will be investigated further by the Johnson City Fire Marshals Office.



The house sustained minor fire damage with moderate heat and smoke damage.



The occupants escaped from the fire and there were no injuries.



The department responded with 3 Engines, 2 Trucks and a Incident Command Vehicle.

Rescue at Structure Fire for Johnson City FD

The Johnson City Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 2312 Rambling Road at 07:36:26 on Christmas morning. First arriving crews (arriving at 07:41:44) reported smoke showing from the residence and confirmed that an occupant was trapped. Members immediately organized to provide search and rescue efforts. A victim was removed from the residence by Fire Department crews and taken to Johnson City Medical Center Hospital by EMS for care and treatment. The victim was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital. The extent of her injuries are not known. The Fire Department sent four engine companies, two ladder companies, a command vehicle, a rehab unit, and an air support truck to the second alarm assignment. There were no injuries to fire crews. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Johnson City Fire Marshal's Division. The fire started in a bedroom and extended to the main hallway corridor. The home received major smoke damage throughout and extensive fire damage to the hallway and bedroom areas.

Johnson City Fire Dept responds to fire at 422 Lamont St

 

 

The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 422 Lamont Street, Apartment B at 11:22:42. The first arriving Engine Company (11:25:02) reported visibility of smoke. Four Engine Companies, two Ladder Companies, and a Command Unit responded to the incident. Crews were able to contain the fire to the room of origin. The home received smoke damage throughout the structure. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire was undetermined after the completion of an investigation.

Structure fire at Montrose Court Apartments

The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a two alarm fire at 701 W Locust St. The alarm was dispatched at 15:22:48 and the department responded with five engine companies, three ladder companies, a command vehicle, and a Air Truck unit. Washington County/ Johnson City EMS supported the Fire Department. First arriving engine companies (arriving at 15:26:49) began the fire attack and the ladder companies began a rescue search. The fire alarm activated and occupants were exiting the structure upon the arrival of the Fire Department. Operating crews were able to obtain a rapid fire knockdown and contain the fire to the apartment of fire origin. Crews were onscene until 17:13:01. There was no fire extension beyond the fire apartment. The structure received smoke damage to the second and third stories. The fire is being investigated by the Johnson City Fire Marshal's office. There were no firefighter injuries.
