Johnson City Fire Dept responds to fire at 422 Lamont St

 

 

The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 422 Lamont Street, Apartment B at 11:22:42. The first arriving Engine Company (11:25:02) reported visibility of smoke. Four Engine Companies, two Ladder Companies, and a Command Unit responded to the incident. Crews were able to contain the fire to the room of origin. The home received smoke damage throughout the structure. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire was undetermined after the completion of an investigation.

Structure fire at Montrose Court Apartments

The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a two alarm fire at 701 W Locust St. The alarm was dispatched at 15:22:48 and the department responded with five engine companies, three ladder companies, a command vehicle, and a Air Truck unit. Washington County/ Johnson City EMS supported the Fire Department. First arriving engine companies (arriving at 15:26:49) began the fire attack and the ladder companies began a rescue search. The fire alarm activated and occupants were exiting the structure upon the arrival of the Fire Department. Operating crews were able to obtain a rapid fire knockdown and contain the fire to the apartment of fire origin. Crews were onscene until 17:13:01. There was no fire extension beyond the fire apartment. The structure received smoke damage to the second and third stories. The fire is being investigated by the Johnson City Fire Marshal's office. There were no firefighter injuries.
