Johnson City Apartment Fire 07-22-2016

Fire department personnel were dispatched to 1500 Bell Ridge Rd. on an apartment fire.

The first unit arrived within 4 minutes and found light smoke in the rear of the building coming from a single apartment.

The fire was located just inside the front door and extinguished quickly.

The occupant had escaped from the apartment prior to the fire departments arrival. He was taken to the hospital by WC/JC EMS for treatment. His injuries were minor.

The apartment sustained moderate damage.

The cause of the fire is under active investigation by the Fire Marshal’s division of the Johnson City Fire Department.

Four Engines and Two ladder trucks responded to the incident.

Apartment Fire 365 N Pickens Bridge Rd

On Tuesday July 5, 2016 at approximately 0149, the Johnson City Fire Department responded to an Apartment Fire at 365 N. Pickens Bridge Rd.
Prior to arrival, 911 advised that there were was smoke and flames visible.
The first Engine on the scene found fire in the enclosed garage. The door had to be cut to enter and extinguish the fire. The fire was contained to the garage area. The rest of the apartment sustained smoke damage.
One occupant was displaced and was assisted by the American Red Cross.
4 Engines and 2 Ladder trucks and 14 personnel responded to the scene. The fire was controlled within 10 minutes of arrival.
No Injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the JCFD Fire Marshal Division.
