Johnson City House Fire 09-04-13

The Johnson City Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 2811 Oakcliff Ct at approximately 1:00 am on September 4, 2013.

Prior to arrival, units advised that smoke was visible from Princeton Rd.

The first unit arrived within 5 minutes of dispatch and advised that the house was fully engulfed.

The fire was controlled within 30 minutes.

It does not appear that anyone was home at the time.

The house was completely destroyed.

No firefighters were injured during the incident.

Four engines and two ladders responded.

The incident is under active investigation by the JC Fire Marshals Office.

No other information is available at the time of this release.

Johnson City House Fire

On Sunday September 1, 2013, the Johnson City Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1110 Miller St.

The call came in at 8:55 pm and the first unit arrived in less than four minutes.

Fire was contained to an attached carport. Upon arrival, the fire had broken through the roof.

The carport was destroyed along with a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The rest of the house suffered heat, smoke and water damage.

The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes.

The family was at home when the fire started and everyone made it out of the house without injury.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Johnson City Fire Marshal’s office.
